
Founder - Mitchell Schaffer BSN, RN, FMR EMT, CES, Personal Trainer (MSN Population Health Student, class of '25)
Mitch is a critical care nurse with experience working on an ICU/CCU (Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit) in a community hospital and a MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) in a major medical center. While working as a nurse, he has gained experience in the function of charge nurse and a member of the rapid response team.
He has been a volunteer with Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Fair Lawn Ambulance Corps. with whom he has taken over 1,100 emergency calls, spent many hours training young volunteer EMTs, and involved in community outreach for both organizations.
His nursing and EMT experience led him to partner with the Trauma Simulation Labs at Hackensack University Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center to teach Stop the Bleed classes to law enforcement, medical professionals, security, first responders, nursing students, high school students, and the general public.
He has also had experience consulting with a non-profit focusing on the wellbeing of Veterans with PTSD that have attempted suicide, an experience that has fueled many initiatives and inspiration for serving the community further.
